Reclaimed Elm Table

Share the details with us (click here)
A 1.25" thick high-quality reclaimed elm; real wood pieces glued onto engineered wood backing for additional strength and support, not a manufactured vinyl / laminate surface. Suitable as a table top (kitchen tables, dining tables, coffee tables), a desk surface, or fine woodwork. Please note that is a natural reclaimed wood surface, and the colour, texture (naturally textured surface), and grain pattern will vary slightly from product to product.
We chose the reclaimed elm for a casual dining area where we wanted something that wouldn't look too formal. The different marks and variations in the wood actually work really well with our mix of furniture. I like that it doesn't have the perfectly uniform appearance of a new manufactured table. We paired it with simple black legs and the combination came together nicely. It has become the table everyone naturally gathers around.
I paired the reclaimed elm top with a simple metal base and ended up with exactly the industrial-style dining table I had in mind.
The reclaimed elm gave our dining area a lot more character than the mass-produced tables we were considering.
The natural variations make it feel much more interesting than a mass-produced tabletop. We paired it with simple metal legs and it turned into a really nice dining/work table. It has a warm, slightly rustic look that works beautifully in our space.
I wanted something with some history and character rather than a perfectly uniform tabletop, so the reclaimed elm was a great choice. The markings and variations make it feel much more interesting than a standard manufactured table.
