FAQ and Support

Can shelves be made in any size and if in any type of wood?

See our standard cuts with pricing. However, we can also custom cuts for specific sizes, please inquire for additional information.

Are brackets included? 
Please note that hardware/brackets will have additional cost depending on your preference. To know more about bracket options, kindly check this link.

Do you offer offer floating shelf brackets?
Yes but we normally don't recommend more than 10" because it's just too much force/leverage with such a deep shelf and difficult to install properly. And likely to sag at some point, especially with standard drywall and 2x4 stud wall mounting. If you have a special project more than 10" in depth using cylindrical hidden floating brackets please contact us. Hidden cylindrical floating brackets usually cost around $160.00.

Where should shelves be mounted?
Ideally they will be centered using studs (assuming it is a drywall construction). Stud centers usually are 16" apart.  

How are the holes made for the bracket setup?
Using a jig hole setup.

What type of wood can be used for cylindrical floating shelf?
It should be for thicker woods, more than 1.5",  like solid oak, solid walnut, and river shelf (not applicable for veneers and elms). 

Are the cylindrical floating shelf fully flush with the wall?
The floating shelf mount plate is about 1/8" so it will be slightly away from the wall.

Are there floating mount options besides the fully blind cylindrical floating shelf brackets? 
Yes, there are also undermount floating shelf bracket (these can be used with wood thickness less than 1.5", such as veneer wood shelves)

I wanted a round table but had a specific diameter and colour combination in mind, so the custom-order option was a much better fit than trying to modify a standard table. Being able to discuss the wood and resin choices beforehand made the process much easier. Jonny was great to work with and helped answer my questions while I was figuring out the details. The finished table has the proportions I wanted for the room and feels like something that was designed specifically for the space. The custom route was definitely worth considering for this project.

We had an awkward wall in our kitchen that standard shelves weren't going to fit properly. The custom shelf option let us choose dimensions that actually made sense for the space.
